Verse 1
मातु लक्ष्मी करि कृपा, करो हृदय में वास।मनोकामना सिद्ध करो, पुरवहु मेरी आस॥
Maatu Lakshmi Kari Kripa, Karo Hriday Mein Vaas.Manokamna Siddh Karo, Puravahu Meree Aas.
O Mother Lakshmi! Show your divine grace and dwell in my heart. Fulfill all my sacred desires and complete my hopes.
Verse 2
सिंधु सुता मैं सुमिरौ तोही।ज्ञान बुद्धि विद्या देहु मोही॥
Sindhu Suta Main Sumirau Tohee.Gyaan Buddhi Vidya Dehu Mohee.
I meditate upon you, O daughter of the ocean! Please bestow wisdom, knowledge, and pure intellect upon me.
Verse 3
तुम समान दाता कोउ नाहीं।अनाथ जनन की सुधि लेहु जाहीं॥
Tum samaan daata kou naaheen.Anaath janan kee sudhi lehu jaaheen.
There is no giver equal to you in this world; you always take care of the orphan and helpless souls.
Verse 4
जय जय जगत जननि जगदम्बा।सदा करत भक्तन की सम्भा॥
Jai jai jagat janani Jagadamba.Sada karat bhaktan kee sambha.
Victory, victory to the mother of the universe, Jagadamba! You always support and look after your devotees.
Verse 5
क्षीरसिन्धु में वास तुम्हारी।विष्णु प्रिया जय लक्ष्मी प्यारी॥
Ksheerasindhu mein vaas tumhaaree.Vishnu priya jai Lakshmi pyaaree.
Your divine home is in the ocean of milk. Victory to the beloved consort of Lord Vishnu, sweet Lakshmi!
Verse 6
चार भुजा सोहे अति सुहावन।कमल आसन राजत मन भावन॥
Chaar bhuja sohe ati suhaavan.Kamal aasan raajat man bhaavan.
Your four arms look beautifully adorned; sitting on the lotus flower, your form is pleasing to the heart.
Verse 7
अष्ट सिद्धि नव निधि की दाता।दीन जनन की भाग्य विधाता॥
Asht siddhi nav nidhi kee data.Deen janan kee bhaagya vidhaata.
You are the giver of eight supernatural powers and nine treasures, the divine creator of the fortune of the poor.
Verse 8
ऋद्धि-सिद्धि चंवर ढुल्यावे।सुख सम्पत्ति घर में बरसावे॥
Riddhi-siddhi chanvar dhulyaave.Sukh sampatti ghar mein barsaave.
Goddesses Riddhi and Siddhi wave fans over you; you shower peace, health, and wealth on our homes.
Verse 9
महालक्ष्मी तुम दीन दयाला।सदा करत सन्तन प्रतिपाला॥
Mahalakshmi tum deen dayaala.Sada karat santan pratipala.
O Mahalakshmi, you are compassionate towards the poor and always protect the saints and sages.
Verse 10
जो नर पूजा करे तुम्हारी।ताकी विपदा टरे करारी॥
Jo nar pooja kare tumhaaree.Taakee vipada tare karaari.
Whoever performs your ritual worship is completely saved from severe calamities.
Verse 11
ज्ञान बुद्धि के तुम हो सागर।कृपा करहु प्रभु विद्या आगर॥
Gyaan buddhi ke tum ho saagar.Kripa karahu prabhu vidya aagar.
You are the ocean of wisdom and intellect. O repository of learning, show mercy on us!
Verse 12
दुःख दरिद्र सब दूर हटाओ।सुख सम्पत्ति घर में बरसाओ॥
Dukh daridra sab door hataao.Sukh sampatti ghar mein barsaao.
Drive away all our sorrows, sickness, and poverty. Shower peace, health, and prosperity upon our homes.
Verse 13
अद्भुत रूप सोहे गिरिजाला।सदा करत भक्तन प्रतिपाला॥
Adbhut roop sohe Girijala.Sada karat bhaktan pratipala.
Your wondrous form looks splendid. You always protect your devotees.
Verse 14
कहत अयोध्यादास कर जोरी।करहु कृपा प्रभु विपदा मोरी॥
Kahat Ayodhyadas kar jori.Karahu kripa prabhu vipada mori.
Ayodhyadas prays with folded hands: O Lord, show mercy and destroy all my trials.
Verse 15
धूप दीप नैवेद्य चढ़ावे।लक्ष्मी सम्मुख पाठ सुनावे॥
Dhoop deep naivedya chadhaave.Lakshmi sammukh paath sunaave.
Whoever offers holy incense, lamps, and sweets, and recites this prayer before Goddess Lakshmi...
Verse 16
जन्म जन्म के पाप नसावे।सुख सम्पत्ति परम पद पावे॥
Janm janm ke paap nasaave.Sukh sampatti param pad paave.
Erases the accumulated sins of many lifetimes and attains the supreme state of prosperity.
Verse 17
जो यह पढ़े लक्ष्मी चालीसा।होय सिद्ध साखी गौरीसा॥
Jo yeh padhe Lakshmi Chalisa.Hoy siddh saakhi Gaurisa.
Whoever reads this Lakshmi Chalisa achieves accomplishments, with Lord Shiva (Gaurisa) himself as witness.
Verse 18
संकट कटै मिटै सब पीरा।जो सुमिरै लक्ष्मी बलबीरा॥
Sankat kate mite sab pira.Jo sumire Lakshmi balbira.
All dangers are cut away and all pain vanishes for one who remembers the mighty Goddess Lakshmi.
Verse 19
जय जय जय लक्ष्मी माता।सत् मारग पर हमें चलाता॥
Jai Jai Jai Lakshmi Mata.Sat maarag par hamen chalaata.
Victory, victory, victory to Mother Lakshmi! Please always guide us on the true path of righteousness.
Verse 20
शरणागत हम दया कीजिये।चरणन की सेवा वर दीजिये॥
Sharanagat hum daya keejiye.Charanan kee seva var deejiye.
We seek your shelter; please show compassion and grant the ultimate boon of serving your lotus feet.
Verse 21
सुख सम्पत्ति घर में बरसाओ।कष्ट कलेश सब दूर भगाओ॥
Sukh sampatti ghar mein barsaao.Kasht kalesh sab door bhagaao.
Shower peace, health, and wealth on our homes. Drive away all our pain and troubles.
Verse 22
अद्भुत रूप सोहे कैलासा।सदा करहु भक्तन उर वासा॥
Adbhut roop sohe Kailasa.Sada karahu bhaktan ur vaasa.
Your wondrous form looks magnificent. Please always make your divine home in the hearts of your devotees.
Verse 23
काल भैरव रूप कराला।दुष्ट दलन जय शम्भु दयाला॥
Kaal Bhairav roop karaala.Dusht dalan jai Shambhu dayaala.
Manifesting as the fierce Kaal Bhairav, you destroy all evil. Victory to the compassionate Shambhu!
Verse 24
नाथ निरञ्जन जगत स्वामी।घट घट के तुम अन्तर्यामी॥
Naath niranjan jagat swaami.Ghat ghat ke tum antaryaami.
O pure, stainless Lord of the cosmos! You are the all-knowing witness dwelling in every single soul.
Verse 25
विषय विकार सब दूर भगाओ।भक्ति प्रेम की अविरल गंगा बहाओ॥
Vishay vikaar sab door bhagaao.Bhakti prem kee aviral Ganga bahaao.
Drive away all worldly desires and impurities. Flow a continuous stream of pure love and devotion in our hearts.
Verse 26
जय जय शिव भोला भण्डारी।विपदा हरो प्रभु शङ्कटहारी॥
Jai Jai Shiv Bhola Bhandari.Vipada haro prabhu sankathaari.
Victory, victory to Lord Shiva, the simple, kind-hearted giver! Remove all our hardships, O destroyer of dangers.
Verse 27
शरणागत हम दया कीजिये।चरणन की सेवा वर दीजिये॥
Sharanagat hum daya keejiye.Charanan kee seva var deejiye.
We seek your shelter; please show compassion and grant the ultimate boon of serving your lotus feet.
Verse 28
लक्ष्मी चालीसा जो नित गावे।मनवांछित फल निश्चय पावे॥
Lakshmi Chalisa jo nit gaave.Manvaanchhit phal nishchay paave.
Whoever recites this Lakshmi Chalisa daily surely obtains the fulfillment of all their heart's desires.
Verse 29
धूप दीप से आरती उतारे।ताको लक्ष्मी संकट तारे॥
Dhoop deep se aarti utaare.Taako Lakshmi sankat taare.
Whoever performs your aarti with incense and holy lamps is safely guided across all crises by Goddess Lakshmi.
Verse 30
जन्म जन्म के दुःख मिट जाये।लक्ष्मीलोक को परम पद पाये॥
Janm janm ke dukh mit jaaye.Lakshmilok ko param pad paaye.
The sorrows of countless births are completely erased, and one attains the supreme spiritual state in Lakshmi's abode.

कहत अयोध्यादास कर जोरी।करहु कृपा प्रभु विपदा मोरी॥
Kahat Ayodhyadas kar jori.Karahu kripa prabhu vipada mori.
