Significance

Yogini Ekadashi falls in the Krishna Paksha of Ashadha month. It is believed that observing this fast can cure skin diseases and wash away all past sins. The legend involves Hemamali, a gardener who served the king of Kubera, and how he attained redemption through this sacred fast.

Preparation

Rituals & Vidhi

Sankalpa

Take a vow at sunrise to observe the fast with full devotion to Lord Vishnu. Pray for the removal of negative energy and physical ailments.

Vishnu Puja

Bathe the idol of Vishnu and offer yellow clothes, flowers, and Tulsi. Recite Vishnu Sahasranama to invoke his healing presence.

Mantra: Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya

Fasting
