The bridge was built firmly in many ways; hearing Rama's words the sages gave blessings. Lanka island, vast and great — the Lord dwells with his brothers, great and four.
Kaṃpati laṃk biloki muni rāī, nagari nisācar khar asur samāīPar bal bikal karai jo koī, Rām kṛpāṃ tehi hoi na hānī
Lanka trembled as the sage-king saw — the city full of demons, donkeys, and asuras. Whoever is troubled by another's power — by Rama's grace, no harm comes to them.
Rām bimukh saṃpati prabhu nāsī, jīvat marat bipati māṃh phāṃsīBhae pragaṭ kṛpālā dīnadayālā, Kausalyā hitakārī
Turned away from Rama, wealth and power are destroyed — caught in the noose of misery, living yet dying. The merciful Lord, compassionate to the meek, the benefactor of Kausalya, has appeared.

Jehi par kṛpā karahiṃ janajānakī, tāhi na byāp māyā Raghupati kīTab Raghupati laṃkā mahã jāī, sur nar muni sab kāj saṃvāī
On whomsoever Rama and Janaki bestow grace — the maya of Raghupati does not delude him. Then Raghupati going to Lanka accomplished all the tasks of gods, men, and sages.

Kah Hanumant bipati prabhu soī, jab tav sumiran bhajan na hoīKetik bāt prabhu jātudhān kī, ripu sar maran satya jān kī
Said Hanuman — "The only real adversity, O Mother, is when there is no remembrance of you and no devotion. What do the demons amount to? The death by the enemy's arrow is certain — know this as truth."
Jauṃ Raghubīr hohiṃ anukūlā, te pāvahiṃ pad pad prabhu mūlāSunu suta hohu dhīr taji socā, prabhu samartha kou ān na pocā
When Raghuvira becomes favourable, they attain the Lord's feet at every step. "Listen, my son — be steadfast, give up worry. The Lord is capable; there is no other worthier."
Tohi dekhi jīvanu pāyo Jānakī jovat prānāTumh san bandhu dukhad nahiṃ bhāī Rām anugraha pāhi
Seeing you, Janaki has received life — she was keeping her life just waiting. No one is more painfully a kinsman than you — receive Rama's grace.
Binatī karauṃ jori kar Rāvan, sunahu māna taji mor sikhāvanDekhahu tumh nij kulahi bicārī, bhram taji bhajahu bhagata bhayahārī
I make a plea with folded hands, O Ravana — hear my teaching, giving up your pride. Consider your own lineage and see — abandoning delusion, worship the destroyer of devotees' fears.
Rām birodh na jītiay kāū, tehi ripu jānehu āpan bhāūJadyapi mitra prabhāv te jānā, tadapi binay karihauṃ bhagavānā
No one who opposes Rama ever wins — know that enemy as your own destruction. Though I know God's power from my friend's experience, still I will pray to the Lord.
Nāth biyog tāteṃ dukhī mohī so sakhi sunāuTav darasan ko mātu man lāge ati akulāu
The Lord is in anguish from separation — tell this friend. The Lord's mind yearns greatly for your sight, O Mother.
Suni Sītā ke bacan komal suhāeHanumant hṛday sukh ati pāeGahi pad bandi caran sir nāī, bidā māṃgi caleu haraṣāī
Hearing Sita's gentle and beautiful words, Hanuman's heart was filled with great joy. Clasping her feet, bowing his head in reverence, he sought leave and departed joyfully.
Calat mahādhuni garjesi bhārī, garbha sravahiṃ suni nisicara nārīNām pāharū divas nisi dhyān tumhār kapāṭLocan nij pad jantrit jāhiṃ prān kehi bāṭ
Moving and roaring with great sound, demon women were terrified. Your Name is the watchman day and night, meditation is the door, eyes locked on Your feet — how can life depart through any other gate?
Puni Sītā kahi pranām sunāī, tab Hanumant cale bahutāīUmā Rām gun gāthā pāvan, kahat kahat mohi āī suhāvan
Again conveying Sita's salutations, Hanuman departed with great force. O Uma (Parvati), the sacred story of Rama's qualities — with each telling it becomes more beautiful.
Rām kṛpāṃ āpani jāni ke kahat kathā Raghupati gun gānīĀpani kathā Tulsī kahi mārī pāy Rām pad dhūri ujiyārī
Knowing this to be Rama's grace, Tulsidas sings the glories of Raghupati. Having sung his own story, Tulsidas is illuminated by the dust of Rama's feet.
Yah Sundarakāṇḍ agam nahiṃ jānāJo taj moh kuṭil man mānāSo sukh lahai jo yah sukh jānāŚrī Raghubīr kṛpā anumānā
This Sunderkand is not beyond reach — whosoever abandons delusion and the crooked mind will understand it. One who knows this joy attains that joy, by the grace of Shri Raghuvir.
