Pradosh Vrat Katha
Pradosh Vrat is observed twice monthly during the auspicious twilight window called Pradosh Kaal. This katha from the Skanda Purana tells how a poor widow's son and a destitute king both received Lord Shiva's miraculous grace by observing the Pradosh fast, teaching us that devotion in the hour of dusk is most dear to Mahadeva.

- Fast from sunrise, consuming only fruits and milk throughout the day.
- In the Pradosh Kaal (twilight window), bathe and dress in clean white or light clothes.
- Perform Abhishek of Shiva Linga with milk, honey, and Gangajal.
- Offer bel patra, white flowers, dhatura, and sandalwood paste.
- Light a ghee lamp and incense. Chant "Om Namah Shivaya" 108 times.
- Read or listen to the Pradosh Vrat Katha during this twilight window.
- Perform the Shiva Aarti and take the prasad after puja.
- Break the fast after completing the puja and having darshan of Lord Shiva.
