- Set up a picture of Goddess Lakshmi Mata on a red or yellow cloth.
- Offer red or yellow flowers, kumkum, turmeric, and lotus petals.
- Light a ghee diya with five wicks and incense of rose or jasmine.
- Offer sweet prasad — kheer or coconut.
- Fast throughout the day or eat only once in the evening.
- Read or listen to the Vaibhav Lakshmi Vrat Katha.
- After eleven consecutive Fridays, perform the udyapan — feed eleven women and seek blessings.
